Careful not to overwhelm the grand scale of the space, we drew a plan that offered just what was needed to fill the room with functional beauty.

The north-facing wall with two windows and overhead fan determined the bed placement. The skylights and glass french doors on the opposite end lent themselves to a serene sitting area perfect to drink a morning coffee while reading the news, or just watching the seasons pass.

FURNITURE SELECTION | TIMELESS YET MODERN

The interior design of the Tree House bedroom started with a clean canvas — an expansive, light-filled space surrounded by towering trees and natural beauty. Our goal was to curate a collection of handcrafted furniture that would elevate the living experience while honoring the organic shapes just beyond the windows.

We selected pieces that share a quiet elegance and subtle curves, creating harmony both within the room and with the landscape outside. At the heart of the space is our best-selling Waterbury Bed, crafted in solid cherry hardwood with a gently curved headboard that softens its clean, modern lines. Flanking the bed are Vernon Nightstands, their signature curved legs echoing the natural, organic forms of the surrounding woods.

For storage, we chose the Chelsea 6-Drawer Dresser and Chelsea Wardrobe, both designed with gracefully bowed fronts that add an understated sophistication. The wardrobe, in particular, serves as a statement piece — built from rich cherry and accented with natural maple, a thoughtful nod to the maple trees that dot the property.

At the foot of the bed, we created a cozy seating area featuring two Vershire Chairs, chosen for their small footprint and exceptional comfort. Positioned between them is a Strafford End Table in maple, offering a perfect perch for a book or a cup of coffee. This quiet corner faces large French doors, where late autumn light filters through the trees, scattering dappled patterns across the room and blurring the line between indoors and out.

Each element — from the furniture to the natural textiles and soft color palette — was selected to complement the home's serene wooded setting, creating a bedroom that feels elevated, timeless, and deeply connected to nature.

Lighting was carefully placed to highlight the room’s best features — the gentle curves of the furniture, the subtle grain of the hardwoods, and the natural flow of light through the windows. Cozy throws and pillows add layers of softness, inviting you to slow down and savor the surroundings.
